SlideRoom and The Common Application

SlideRoom is a secure online system for receiving and evaluating applications during undergraduate admissions and is a partner of the Common App which provides unique value for data integration and waived licensing fees. The system offers 3 distinct services for Common App member schools:

  1. 1. SDS import
  2. 2. Portfolio Supplements
  3. 3. Data integration

New member schools need to officially register for a SlideRoom account here: www.slideroom.com/register. Schools only need to register for the Standard Plan. Member schools at the Custom level will be exempt from paying the yearly fee of SlideRoom's Standard Pricing Plan. And member schools with existing SlideRoom accounts do not need to take any action.

Note: If your school wants to use SlideRoom for reasons beyond Undergraduate Admissions (like Faculty Searches or Graduate Admissions) please create those as separate accounts.

The end goal is to create an easy submission process for applicants as well as an efficient viewing environment for admissions staff.. SlideRoom is completely web-based, so there is nothing to download, install, or maintain. With the data integration in place, schools benefit from having everything connected. The Applicant Experience

Applicants are shown an prompt about a Portfolio within Common App which contains a link to your school's branded SlideRoom system. They choose their program of interest and submit their Portfolio. Learn More

If your school wants to view the entire Common App within SlideRoom, use SlideRoom's templates within the Common App SDS control center to automate the import of data as well as PDFs. Learn More


SlideRoom Data Export

After you have completed your reviews, build your own custom exports to get data out of SlideRoom in exactly the format you need. SlideRoom's open API can automate these exports and be consumed by a third party database. Learn More
