  4. Dashboard Features

The Dashboard is a control panel for all of your settings. This can be found by clicking the Dashboard button at the top right of your screen. Only individuals with Admin status can see the Dashboard. This section has several tabs:

Accounts: This is where you enter your Organization account information and welcome text. This welcome text will be displayed to all of your applicants, and provide a context for all of your programs.

Users: This tab allows the Admin to create multiple reviewer accounts. Simple click "add user," and fill out the fields with that persons info. The password fields will be automatically generated, unless you choose to type your own. (These passwords can be changed by the reviewers later under the "my account" link). Make sure to click the boxes "Reviewer" and/or "Administrator." If reviewer is clicked, a list of your existing programs will be displayed, allowing you to decide which programs this reviewer has access to. When you click "save," an email will be sent to this person, notifying them that an account has been created for them.

    All reviewers login at: www.review.slideroom.com

Checking the "Accept Statement/Resume" will cause a field to be displayed to your applicants saying that you can accept text. The fields below allow you to describe the text you wish to receive. Checking the "required" box results in making a text submission mandatory.
    5. Confirmation Text - this text will be displayed to applicants immediately after submitting their portfolio.

Reports: Reports allows you to download all of your applicants information into a spreadsheet. Click on the program you wish to view, and then click the "generate report" button. This will save a file to your desktop, which can be opened in Excel. These reports contain all applicant information, and even how they were rated/commented upon by reviewers. Nice!

  5. Slide Viewer

The slide viewer is the main viewing panel used by reviewers to easily navigate through a large number of portfolios. The intuitive rating system allows reviewers to organize applicants by rating. To move from applicant to applicant, simply click on the cell in the left sidebar. The field above this side bar allows you to choose specific programs. The field below the sidebar allows the administrator to choose specific reviewer ratings, or an average of all the ratings. The thought bubble at the bottom of every cell allows reviewers to communicate with each other via comments. And if an applicant has a text item, a paper icon will be displayed which can be clicked on to view their text. All images can be viewed in gallery mode (with scalable thumbnail images) or in slide show mode that display artwork information at the bottom of the screen.
